Chris is the General Manager of Storage On Site responsible for all aspects of the firm. He believes the firm should be Client focused and developing long term relationships with clients. He has worked in every role in the firm, understands what it takes to get things done in the VI, and stresses operational excellence in all firm activities.
Chris strongly believes in Mobile Storage because it offers clients significant cost savings when compared to traditional self-storage facilities. He loves the convenience of having the storage right at your front door. He enjoys helping his clients with office space get up and running within a short time frame. He likes to keep you working. At the same time, he is a strong advocate of container offices and larger modular buildings as these offer both functional and affordable office solutions at a time when traditional commercial office space is not available or high priced.
Chris received an MBA from Babson College graduating Summa Cum Laude while working full time at Storage On Site. Additionally, he graduated from Lafayette College for Undergrad, and with Honors from Phillips Exeter Academy. Chris is married and resides with his wife Kim and their dog Glory in the beautiful VI.
Kim is a VI licensed Professional Engineer. She previously worked in two VI government agencies as an engineer, and she was also employed by the State Of New York as an Environmental Engineer in the Department of Environmental Conservation. Kim has deep project management experience with both local and federal projects with particular knowledge of environmental impacts. She believes a collaborative partnership with all stakeholders (government clients, DPNR, and skilled trades) along with significant upfront planning reduces overall project cost and timelines while increasing client satisfaction. Longer term Kim is focused on two areas: 1. Ensuring that any "tiny homes" concept applied to the VI is self-sufficient with "off the grid capabilities" and 2. Rethinking how upfront planning can structurally reduce post disaster response times. One example of proactive planning Kim would like to implement is the concept of having mini storage locations dispersed throughout all three islands stocked with emergency response supplies in the event of a natural disaster.
Toby founded the firm in 2006 and has been hard at work since building the container fleet, developing strategy, and helping implement larger government, hospitality, and construction projects. His role now is to assist Chris as he takes the firm forward. He is a former military officer, holds an MBA from the Wharton School and is an avid hiker and nature lover and enjoys his downtime walking his dog Bella with his wife Mary.
Mary is focused on applying the worldwide "tiny homes" concept to meet the needs of affordable, safe, and dignified temporary and permanent housing solutions in the VI. Many of the "tiny homes" products manufactured in the States (or abroad) are not suitable or sustainable in the harsh Caribbean climate and need to be both designed and manufactured locally to incorporate local understanding of exact needs and local expertise in the build process. She has a master’s degree from Princeton Theological Seminary, is a Board Certified Chaplain/Trauma Counselor and has 25 years of corporate risk management experience. She previously managed the build out and installation of the time sensitive and critical COVID testing modular labs for the CDC and the VI Department of Health.
